Gyeonggi Office of Education Signs Agreement with Ministry of Personnel Management for Outsourcing Grade 9 Written Exams Until 2027

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has extended its business agreement with the Ministry of Personnel Management for the outsourced creation of the Level 9 local government official written examination until 2027.


The Office of Education announced on the 31st that after initially signing the agreement with the Ministry of Personnel Management in 2019 and extending it once until 2024, it has now renewed the agreement period for another three years until 2027.


Under this agreement, the Ministry of Personnel Management, which has the dedicated test creation facility called the ‘National Examination Center,’ will be responsible for the overall test creation process including writing the exam questions, printing the test papers, and finalizing the answers. The Office of Education will support by providing personnel for question review and securing test venues for the national public recruitment exams.

The outsourced written exam subjects include ▲open competitive recruitment exams ▲career competitive recruitment exams for technical high school graduates (or expected graduates) ▲and selection exams for outstanding talent trainees for commercial high school graduates (or expected graduates).


The Office of Education plans to continuously cooperate with the Ministry of Personnel Management to expand the subjects outsourced for test creation, thereby enhancing the professionalism and fairness of the local government official recruitment exams.


Jo Jung-bok, Head of the Local Government Personnel Division at the Office of Education, stated, "The renewal of the business agreement with the Ministry of Personnel Management has laid the foundation for providing better educational administration," and promised, "We will make further efforts to create transparent Gyeonggi education by continuously cooperating to expand the subjects outsourced for test creation."
