160 Students... Applications Accepted Until the 10th of Next Month
The Jeongeup City Scholarship Foundation in Jeonbuk announced on the 31st that it is recruiting participants for the "2025 Local Outstanding Talent Development Program" subject classes until the 10th of next month.
The recruitment targets are 20 students each for prospective 2nd and 3rd year middle school students and 40 students each for prospective 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year high school students as of 2025, totaling 160 students. The selected students will take a selection test on the 18th of next month, and the final successful candidates will be chosen based on their scores. Those selected will begin full-scale learning from the 25th of next month.
Classes will be held at the Lifelong Learning Center every Saturday and Sunday, focusing on intensive study of major subjects such as Korean, English, and Mathematics. Shuttle buses will also be provided for students from outlying areas with limited transportation.
Mayor Lee Haksoo said, "I hope the Local Outstanding Talent Development Program will help nurture the academic abilities of excellent students in the region and serve as a stepping stone toward bigger dreams," and added, "We ask for the active interest and participation of middle and high school students and their parents."
Meanwhile, this project is operated through the collaboration of Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, Jeongeup City, and the Jeongeup City Scholarship Foundation, and provides students with customized admissions consulting and systematic subject classes through commissioned operation by a specialized entrance exam academy.
