"Should Not Be Consumed as Gossip"
"Victims' Dignity Must Be Respected"
A YouTuber analyzing past domestic and international aviation accidents emphasized the need to respect the dignity of the victims in relation to the Jeju Air passenger plane disaster.
On the 29th, the YouTube channel 'Dakyu 9bun' posted on its community, "After reviewing decades' worth of aviation accident reports and articles, I have realized something," and made four requests to viewers. Dakyu 9bun first said, "There is no need to compete for breaking news." He stated, "Most of the breaking news about past aviation accidents is really absurd," adding, "There are many false reports in the early stages. Most eyewitness accounts are misunderstandings. False reports are secondary information that does not necessarily need to be known." He continued, "There may be many questions, but at this stage, everything is speculation," and added, "It should not be consumed as gossip."

He also emphasized the need to support the victims' families and to respect the dignity of the victims. Dakyu 9bun said, "Right now, the victims' families are probably rushing down to Muan with anxious hearts. In most accidents, these people are neglected and suffer secondary damage," and added, "The government should support the victims' families, but citizens should also help them." He urged, "Please think carefully even when writing a single comment." He also said, "The dignity of the victims must be respected. There are many cases where photos and reports that disregard the victims' dignity spread," and added, "Although horrific accident scenes may have news value, the media must report strictly according to ethical guidelines."
Finally, he argued, "There is no reason to quickly identify the person responsible," and said, "Accidents do not happen due to someone's malice. The way to quickly heal the wounds of the accident is to calmly observe, help the victims, and thoroughly investigate to prevent the same thing from happening again." He also expressed support for the rescue teams who are risking their lives in rescue operations even now.

On the 30th, 'Dakyu 9bun' also posted on the community, "There are many concerns about the accident response process. The accident is becoming a social conflict intertwined with political situations. I think this is a time to mourn, not to fight," and added, "Isn't it rare to have such a sad event? If there is anything suspicious, just watch closely with wide-open eyes to see if the investigation process is transparent."
