On the 27th, Ahn said on social media, "The Democratic Party's Lee Jae-myung proposed the impeachment of Acting President Han Duck-soo yesterday," adding, "The suspension of the appointment of constitutional court justices does not constitute grounds for impeachment under the Constitution or law."
He expressed concern, saying, "We are currently in a national emergency. The exchange rate has reached its highest level since the financial crisis, and our external credit rating has plummeted. Impeaching Acting President Han would not only lead to a financial market catastrophe but also paralyze state affairs."
Ahn also stated, "The grounds for impeachment are unclear, making it difficult to avoid political turmoil and division," and urged, "Acting President Han and both ruling and opposition parties should each take a step back to find a solution to prevent a catastrophe."
Regarding Acting President Han, Ahn called for reconsideration, saying, "It is right to immediately appoint the constitutional court justices recommended by the National Assembly."
