Yeoju City Health Center Expands Community-Based Rehabilitation Project... Physical Therapy Room Operated on Reduced Scale

The Health Promotion Division of Yeoju City Public Health Center plans to reduce the operation of the existing physical therapy room from five days a week to three days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) in order to expand the community-based rehabilitation project aimed at improving the health status and self-health management abilities of registered and prospective disabled persons in the area.

Currently, the physical therapy room at Yeoju City Public Health Center operates by appointment and provides physical therapy, heat, and electrical treatments for musculoskeletal and chronic degenerative disease pain to Yeoju citizens. For those aged 65 and older, treatment is available free of charge.

The reduced operation schedule will begin in February 2025 and will be operated by appointment three times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday). During the same period, the rehabilitation exercise program for disabled and prospective disabled persons in the area will be expanded and conducted regularly at the physical therapy room within the health center.
