The Asia Science Park Association (ASPA) is an international private organization established in Japan in 1997 for the joint development of science, technology, and industrial economy in the Asian region. It has 190 member companies from 22 countries participating, and promotes the joint development of science, technology, and industrial economy in Asia through economic resource sharing and technology exchange cooperation projects such as leaders' meetings, international board meetings, and business consultations.

Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to establish a global linkage cooperation support system to enhance the external competitiveness and expand market development of semiconductor companies in the Gyeongbuk·Gumi Semiconductor Specialized Complex by mutually cooperating on overseas market development, supporting exchanges of industrial and technical information and inter-company exchanges such as forums and consulting, and cooperating in semiconductor-related events, exhibitions, and technology exchange meetings.

Lee Hyun-kwon, director of the Gyeongbuk·Gumi Semiconductor Specialized Complex Promotion Team, stated, “Through joint cooperation with ASPA, we will strive to develop overseas markets for semiconductor companies and establish a cooperative system with the Hsinchu Science Park in Taiwan,” adding, “We will devote all our capabilities to ensure that semiconductor companies within the specialized complex achieve continuous growth.”
