Hanwha Momentum Co., Ltd. donates 7 million KRW to Changwon Special City’s ‘Raising Multiple Children Together’ program.
The 10th donor, Hanwha Momentum Co., Ltd., has been continuously engaging in various social contribution activities for coexistence with the local community, such as supporting children under protection and youth employment support programs through the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation. This year, they donated 7 million KRW to Changwon City's ‘Raising Multiple Children Together’ project to participate in birth encouragement policies.
The ‘Raising Multiple Children Together’ project, launched this year for the first time as part of Changwon citizens’ love sharing, is being promoted in partnership with the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation to reduce the economic burden on families with multiple children in raising them and to create a warm atmosphere of celebration together.
This project collects donations from the local community to provide an additional 1 million KRW birth congratulatory gift to families with a third child or more. As of December, 14 companies and organizations have participated, raising 151.2 million KRW, and 150 families with multiple children have received 150 million KRW in support.
Jo Hyung-rae, the head of Hanwha Momentum’s business site, said, “We are pleased to participate in this meaningful project supporting families with multiple children. We will continue to strive to fulfill our social responsibilities and cooperate with the local community.”
Hong Nam-pyo, mayor of Changwon Special City, said, “We appreciate the donation for families with multiple children and will ensure it is delivered effectively to provide practical help. We will continue to work to improve the quality of life for Changwon citizens and make Changwon a city good for having and raising children.”
