Green Day Care Center is a long-term care institution (day and night care center) located in Minrak-dong, established last June. It develops and operates various facilities and specialized programs to stabilize the lives and maintain the physical and mental functions of elderly people with geriatric diseases or frail health.

CEO Kim Young-hwa said, “While operating the day and night center, we take care of elderly living alone, but there are many unfortunate cases where they suddenly pass away alone and quietly. We decided to donate to help provide more meticulous care services to elderly living alone in Uijeongbu,” she said.

Mayor Kim Dong-geun expressed his gratitude, saying, “We are very thankful for your heartfelt care for elderly living alone. Like Uijeongbu City’s welfare slogan ‘Care for All,’ we will strive to build a more thorough care system through public-private cooperation.”

Meanwhile, the city has been conducting the ‘100-Day Love Relay Baton Passing’ fundraising campaign from October 21st to January 28th of next year. The collected cash and goods will be linked with the Community Chest to support low-income families in the area.
