The Hanam City Safety Experience Center in Gyeonggi announced on the 19th that it was additionally designated in the ‘Fire Safety Area’ within the field of life safety by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety on the 17th as a safety education institution. This is the result of continuous efforts since the first half of this year to secure fire safety experience learning tools and upgrade the experience facilities.

The Hanam City Safety Experience Center was already designated in 2022 in the areas of natural disasters and rescue/first aid, and with this additional designation in the fire safety area, it can now provide more professional and diverse safety education.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety designates institutions as safety education providers based on the ‘Basic Act on the Promotion of National Safety Education,’ targeting safety-related non-profit corporations and disaster management responsible agencies that meet designation criteria such as ▲ possession of safety education materials and programs ▲ securing professional personnel ▲ having experience education facilities. The Hanam City Safety Experience Center passed this evaluation and is currently designated in a total of three safety fields.
Facilities designated as safety education institutions receive benefits such as professional personnel capacity-building training and support for education programs and content, enabling them to raise awareness of the importance of safety education in the local community and conduct systematic education.
Based on this additional designation, the Hanam City Safety Experience Center plans to strengthen customized safety education tailored to each life cycle stage and actively utilize fire safety education programs and tools to provide vivid safety experience opportunities to trainees.
Jae-young Cho, the director of the Hanam City Safety Experience Center, stated, “This additional designation in the fire safety area is meaningful as it allows us to provide more professional and systematic education, and we will do our best to expand the designation to the traffic safety area in the future.”
