Igloo Corporation was recognized for its leadership in developing AI solutions that consider ethical standards alongside advancements in artificial intelligence technology, receiving the AI Ethics Award (Asia Economy Representative Award) at the 2024 Asia AI Awards held on the 19th at the Press Center in Jung-gu, Seoul.

Igloo Corporation determined that AI-based security technology must be used to counter attacks exploiting AI, and in July last year, developed and launched the AI detection model service "AiR (AI Road)" to enhance AI reliability and interpretability. This service explains how AI detects certain behaviors as abnormal or normal based on specific criteria, providing explanations for AI prediction results through algorithms or existing pattern-based methods.

The service focuses on providing functions that allow security personnel to clearly identify and understand true and false positives in security logs and events. Users can increase their understanding and trust in AI responses by verifying the AI model’s decision criteria, enabling more agile responses to attacks.

Another service, SPiDER TM, offers various tools that allow users to quickly and easily review security event analysis results and related materials. Users can load all logs and full network packet data related to abnormal behavior to verify the validity of attacks more accurately and swiftly.

For example, if malware is detected, users can check with just a few clicks the statistical information and original log evidence needed to determine the importance of the behavior, such as what data the malware is transmitting or receiving and whether other systems are infected by the malware.

Based on its accumulated AI capabilities, Igloo Corporation plans to accelerate the expansion and supply of AI security solutions and services. By enhancing AiR’s functions and performance, the company aims to advance the service and promote overseas exports so that global customers can also benefit from the service.
