Samsung Electronics announced on the 18th that it has developed a platform to enhance personalized experiences through its artificial intelligence (AI), Galaxy AI, and to securely protect the data used for this purpose.

Samsung Enhances Personalized Experiences with AI... Also Developing Data Protection Platform

Samsung Electronics is currently conducting a beta program for 'One UI 7,' which applies the next-generation Galaxy AI and security solutions. The official One UI 7 is scheduled to be installed on the Galaxy S25, set for release early next year.

The 'Now Bar' feature available in 'One UI 7' is a notification system that displays the user's real-time activities such as schedule, music listening, translation, and health at a glance on the smartphone lock screen.

Samsung plans to utilize this to support users' productive daily lives beyond the smartphone's notification functions, providing a personalized AI experience.

For example, when a user goes on an overseas trip, the feature will enable them to check and receive recommendations for information such as flight boarding times, traffic conditions to the airport, current weather at the destination, travel country, and exchange rates without cumbersome processes.

Samsung also plans to apply functions that analyze the user's preferences and usage patterns within the device.

To strengthen the security of the analyzed user data, Samsung Electronics developed an on-device data protection platform called the 'Personal Data Engine.'

The Personal Data Engine securely stores user information through the 'Samsung Knox Vault' platform, which is used to protect data such as biometric information on Galaxy smartphones by encrypting sensitive data.

Through this, users' personal information is encrypted within the smartphone, and the process of data exchange between apps is securely protected.

Additionally, a PQC (Post-Quantum Cryptography)-based end-to-end encryption (E2EE) function has been applied to Samsung Cloud, ensuring personal information protection even in the era of quantum computers.
