Yeongdeok-gun to Operate Joint Design Team for Small-Scale Resident Wish Projects in 2025

36 Village Roads and Farm Paths Receive 1.4 Billion Won Investment to Resolve Resident Inconveniences

Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, has formed a joint design team consisting of 19 facility-related public officials divided into three groups to expedite the early ordering of small-scale resident wish projects for next year. From the 16th of this month to the 23rd of next month, the team will conduct on-site surveys, measurements, drawing, and detailing work over a period of 39 days.

Next year’s small-scale resident wish projects in Yeongdeok-gun include 36 cases closely related to residents' daily lives, such as village road and farm road maintenance, retaining walls, drainage channels, and stream improvements. Yeongdeok-gun plans to invest 1.4 billion KRW in these projects to complete them early, minimizing residents’ inconveniences and contributing to the revitalization of the construction industry.

Accordingly, along with operating the joint design team, the county will begin the service contract about a month earlier than last year, starting in mid-November, complete the detailed design by early February next year, and finish construction within the first half of the year.

Additionally, Yeongdeok-gun expects that by involving new facility public officials in the joint design team, it will strengthen work capabilities and create opportunities for technical exchange and communication, thereby enhancing the technical capabilities of both the public and private sectors.

Kim Hee-dae, Director of the Construction Division, stated, “We will steadily proceed to complete the small-scale resident wish projects early as planned to improve residents’ lives and contribute to the local economy.”
