Seosan City, Chungnam Province, announced that the "2024 Year-End Night for Entrepreneurs," held at the Ardel Wedding Convention on the 12th, successfully concluded with the participation of around 150 entrepreneurs.
The event, hosted by the Seosan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was attended by Lee Wanseop, Mayor of Seosan, Cho Dongsik, Chairman of the Seosan City Council, Park Daryoung, Chief of the Tax Office, and Hong Seongeun, Head of the Ministry of Employment and Labor's Seosan Branch, among others.
This event was organized to encourage entrepreneurs who have played a pivotal role in the local economy and to prepare for the coming year. It began with a special performance by the Seosan City Choir.
The Seosan City Choir delivered a message of encouragement through their performance, hoping that local entrepreneurs struggling with the domestic and global economic downturn could prepare for the new year with renewed spirit.
After the performance, an awards ceremony was held to recognize outstanding entrepreneurs, followed by a congratulatory speech from Yoo Sangman, President of the Seosan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who has led cooperation between local entrepreneurs and Seosan City for regional economic revitalization.
A total of 10 individuals received the honor of being awarded as outstanding entrepreneurs.
The awardees were Jeon Pyeongbae, Team Leader of External Cooperation at HD Hyundai Oilbank Co., Ltd.; Lee Hyeongmu, CEO of Poled Co., Ltd.; Lim Chaewoong, CEO of SN Co., Ltd.; Park Kyunghwan, Executive Director of Jangmaek Engineering Co., Ltd.; Ahn Youngho, Director of Aprotium Co., Ltd.; Kang Myungshin, Branch Manager of Seicon Co., Ltd.; Kang Hyeonyeol, CEO of Chungnam Distribution Co., Ltd.; Choi Sangyun, CEO of Kaya Engineering Co., Ltd.; Choi Taehwan, CEO of Daesan Total Co., Ltd.; and Choi Byeongdeok, CEO of Daeeung Industries Co., Ltd.
In addition, Jang Gyuseok and Lee Seungjun, team leaders from Seosan City who worked to create a business-friendly environment, received commendations from the President of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Yoo Sangman, President of the Seosan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said, "I would like to express my gratitude to all local entrepreneurs who have steadfastly protected the local economy and industry despite difficult circumstances this year," and added, "In the new year, it is essential that we unite and work together to turn crises into opportunities."
Mayor Lee Wanseop stated, "I am grateful to all local entrepreneurs who have played a central role in revitalizing the local economy despite challenging conditions," and pledged, "We will continue to actively support businesses so that they can contribute to the local economy through smooth economic activities."
Meanwhile, as part of efforts to create a business-friendly environment, Seosan City was selected this year for the construction of the Indus Valley Workers' Complex Cultural Center and the Suseok Agricultural Industrial Complex Youth Culture Center to improve living conditions for workers.
