Samhwa Paint Successfully Concludes Open Innovation Performance Sharing Meeting

Samhwa Paint Industrial announced on the 13th that it held the ‘2024 Unicorn Bridge with Samhwa Paint’ open innovation performance sharing meeting.

The open innovation event was held with key stakeholders including Baemengdal, CEO of Samhwa Paint, Kim Won-kyung, CTO of Samhwa Paint, and Kim Won-kyung, Director of Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center.

This performance sharing meeting was an occasion where three innovative startups presented the results of their six-month collaboration PoC (Proof of Concept) with Samhwa Paint. Samhwa Paint and the innovative startups exchanged opinions on the results and discussed follow-up collaboration. The three companies?Graphin ENG, Alpes, and Pi Solution Technology?worked on projects related to secondary batteries, functional coating materials, and electronic materials.

Open innovation is a strategy that creates new ideas, technologies, or products by sharing resources or technologies with external companies. Startups receive support for their limited resources and costs, while participating companies have the opportunity to expand their business areas.

The reason Samhwa Paint participated in the open innovation program is to support promising startups, discover new business items, and secure future growth engines. Samhwa Paint is striving to discover new business items to prepare for internal and external uncertainties and achieve steady growth.

A Samhwa Paint official said, “We achieved tangible results such as confirming new technologies and items that will lead the future through this PoC. We plan to continue collaborating with startups in the future,” adding, “We will build a virtuous cycle system of co-growth with promising startups by utilizing our technology and know-how.”
