Recognized as the Only 'Excellent Program' Operating Institution in the District

On the 12th, Nam-gu, Gwangju announced that Inae Comprehensive Social Welfare Center received the Excellence Award for its program in the 2024 social welfare facility evaluation, being recognized as the only institution in Gwangju operating an outstanding program.
Among 91 facilities evaluated this time, only three comprehensive social welfare centers received awards. Inae Comprehensive Social Welfare Center earned the honor as the sole winner in Gwangju with its Life Concert Project "Life Theater, It Starts Now!" aimed at enhancing self-efficacy and preventing solitary deaths among elderly living alone.
The project achieved improvements of 34% in self-efficacy, 42% in social support perception, 38% in awareness improvement of elderly living alone, and 46% in youth awareness improvement. It also established a pioneering model for programs preventing solitary deaths in the local community and verified its ripple effects.
Lee Seon-mi, director of Inae Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, stated, "Taking this award as an opportunity, we will provide various programs addressing solitary deaths to the local community," and added, "We will do our best to become a trusted welfare center where residents in the area can use services with peace of mind."
