Surplus Global, a company specializing in the distribution of legacy semiconductor equipment of 28nm (nanometer, one billionth of a meter) and above, announced on the 11th that it will participate in 'SEMICON JAPAN 2024,' held in Tokyo, Japan, for three days until the 13th. A total of 1,182 semiconductor-related companies worldwide will participate in this exhibition.
Surplus Global stated, "This participation in SEMICON JAPAN aligns with the Japanese government's semiconductor industry revitalization policy worth 10 trillion yen (approximately 95 trillion KRW) and the trend of revitalizing the Japanese semiconductor market. It will help strengthen our position in the Japanese and Asian markets," adding, "We aim to seize the opportunity to expand cooperation with global customers and partners."

At this event, Surplus Global will introduce 'SemiMarket,' an AI-based global market mall. It is scheduled to be newly revamped and opened next year. The goal is to provide personalized services by analyzing parts and equipment data using AI technology and connecting them according to customer needs.
Kim Jeong-woong, CEO of Surplus Global, said, "SemiMarket will provide customized services using high-quality data and create differentiated value for customers and partners as a new platform combined with AI technology," adding, "Through this, we will lead changes in the semiconductor market and achieve sustainable growth."
The Japanese government continues large-scale investments and policy support for next-generation semiconductor R&D, expansion of power semiconductor production, and establishment of technological infrastructure. Surplus Global’s legacy semiconductor equipment solutions and AI-based SemiMarket parts mall are expected to provide important opportunities within the Japanese semiconductor market.
