The Yangju City Sports Council (President Im Jae-geun) in Gyeonggi announced on the 10th that it successfully held the "2024 Yangju City Sports Council Awards Ceremony and Year-End Party" on the 8th at the local "Gyeonggi Textile Comprehensive Support Center."

The event was attended by about 500 people, including Yangju Mayor Kang Su-hyun, Yoon Chang-chul, Chairman of the Yangju City Council, city and provincial council members, 37 member sports organizations of the Yangju City Sports Council, and members from 12 eup, myeon, and dong sports councils, illuminating the occasion.
The event began with a pre-performance by the "U Soar" team affiliated with the Yangju City Gymnastics Association, followed by an awards ceremony for meritorious contributors.
On the day, President Im Jae-geun said, "I extend my congratulations to all sports officials, including the award recipients."
Additionally, Chairman Yoon Chang-chul emphasized, "The revitalization of sports greatly benefits the local community and economy," and added, "I urge athletes to continue their active participation."
Following this, Mayor Kang Su-hyun of Yangju stated, "Thanks to the dedication of the Yangju City Sports Council and all athletes, we have achieved many accomplishments this year," and expressed, "We look forward to even greater achievements in 2025."
President Im Jae-geun expressed sincere gratitude, saying, "I sincerely thank Mayor Kang Su-hyun, who always strives for sports development; Chairman Yoon Chang-chul and city council members who pay special attention to sports welfare and budgeting; and Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly members Kim Min-ho, Lee Young-joo, and Park Jae-yong," and added, "I also deeply appreciate the Gyeonggi Sports Council for their significant support in public project initiatives."
He continued, "I once again express my gratitude to the presidents of member sports organizations, eup, myeon, and dong sports council presidents, and all athletes who dedicated themselves throughout 2024, and I hope that we will continue to develop together in 2025 based on balance and open communication."
