'Love House Building' No. 44 Completion and Move-in Ceremony Held
On the 6th, Gangjin-gun, Jeollanam-do, held a move-in ceremony after providing a hopeful home to a multicultural family in the area through the 44th Love House Building Project.
According to the county on the 9th, the ceremony was attended by Gangjin-gun Governor Kang Jin-won, Seo Soon-seon, Chairman of the County Council, officials from the Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea, Na Yong-woon, President of the Gangjin Rotary Club, its members, and about 40 village residents to celebrate the move-in.

This project was led by the Gangjin Rotary Club and completed with a total project cost of 90 million KRW through support from Gangjin-gun and cooperation with the Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea. In particular, the county provided 20 million KRW, the Gangjin Rotary Club donated 10 million KRW, designated donations amounted to 10 million KRW, the Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea contributed 40 million KRW, and Kim Jong-sung from the Honor Society donated 10 million KRW, resulting in a public-private partnership that built a 24-pyeong (approximately 79.3 square meters) house in Jungheung Village, Chillyang-myeon.
At the completion ceremony, various support items such as a refrigerator, bedding, and air conditioner were delivered along with the house keys, and a scholarship of 500,000 KRW was also awarded, adding a warm and touching moment.
Governor Kang Jin-won said, “I am glad to provide a warm home to families struggling with housing issues,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to ensure housing stability and improve welfare for vulnerable groups.”
The ‘Love House Building’ project, part of the public-private joint cooperation initiative to create a warm Gangjin, has been promoted since 2007, and as of today, 44 houses have been newly built, delivering courage and hope to housing-vulnerable groups.
