The Korea Railroad Workers' Union (KRWU) has launched a general strike, during which a power outage caused a train on the Gyeongui-Jungang Line to stop.
According to Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL), at around 7:18 PM on the 5th, a subway train heading from Hoegi Station to Jungnang Station experienced a power outage, resulting in approximately 20 minutes of halted operation.
KORAIL explained that some passengers trapped inside the train forcibly opened the doors and began walking on the tracks, which delayed the departure.
KORAIL plans to investigate the cause of the malfunction after the train is brought into the depot.
