On the same day, the opposition parties passed the “Resolution Demanding the Prompt Arrest of Suspects in the Crime of Rebellion” during an emergency inquiry held by the National Assembly's Administrative and Security Committee. The resolution included Park An-su, former commander of the Martial Law Command and Chief of Staff of the Army; Yeo In-hyung, Commander of the Defense Security Command; Lee Jin-woo, Commander of the Capital Defense Command; Kwak Jong-geun, Commander of the Army Special Warfare Command; and Cho Ji-ho, Commissioner of the National Police Agency.
Democratic Party lawmaker Yoon Gun-young explained the reason for adopting the resolution, stating, "A swift and fair investigation by the investigative agencies is necessary." Earlier, lawmakers from the People Power Party left the meeting immediately after it began, arguing that it was not possible to confirm the charges as rebellion.
The National Police Agency’s National Investigation Headquarters has already launched an investigation into the charges of rebellion against President Yoon Seok-yeol, former Minister Kim, Minister Lee, and others.
