To transform into an ecological tourism city, 161.1 billion KRW will be invested to develop tourist sites utilizing ecological resources around Jaran Island and Madong Lake, through which Goseong aims to establish itself as the center of healing tourism in South Korea.
Mayor Lee concluded his policy speech by saying, “Despite the government’s fiscal tightening and external environmental conditions, we secured the largest-ever national and local government subsidies in Goseong County’s history through the passion of 50,000 residents and our public officials. I ask for your unwavering support and encouragement to complete Goseong County’s pending projects and major policy initiatives.”
