Yeongdeok-gun Holds Launch Ceremony for 'Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign'

10% Increase Year-on-Year: 306 Million Won Goal Fundraising Over 62 Days

Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, held the launch ceremony of the ‘Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign’ in front of the government office on the 4th, aiming for ‘Happy Yeongdeok united through sharing.’

The event was attended by Kim Gwang-yeol, Mayor of Yeongdeok-gun; Bae Jae-hyun, Vice Chairman of the Yeongdeok County Council; Son Byung-il, Secretary General of the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea; as well as heads of local institutions and organizations, the Yeongdeok-gun Fruit of Love Sharing Volunteer Group, and various dignitaries.


The launch ceremony included a congratulatory performance, followed by △the launch declaration △the unveiling ceremony of the Love Temperature Tower △and on-site fundraising. Park Hyun-sook of the Fruit of Love Sharing Volunteer Group, who has consistently practiced donations and volunteer work for marginalized neighbors, and Ha Sang-su of the Yeongdeok Good Store Pyeonggang Gas Station were recognized as meritorious persons and received the Yeongdeok-gun Mayor’s Award.


In particular, the Yeongdeok-gun Fruit of Love Sharing Volunteer Group was selected as an outstanding volunteer group and received the Gyeongbuk Community Chest Chairman’s Award from the Secretary General of the Community Chest.


Additionally, as part of the 2024 planned project, a van was delivered following the selection for the Love Fruit Vehicle Support Project, and as part of the winter support project for vulnerable groups, heating cost subsidies amounting to 97.2 million KRW were distributed, making the launch ceremony more abundant than ever.


Thus, Yeongdeok-gun will conduct the campaign for 62 days until January 31 next year, aiming to raise 306 million KRW, a 10% increase from last year’s 278 million KRW.


The Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign is continuously accepting donations at the county office and nine eup/myeon administrative welfare centers. Yeongdeok-gun plans to continue street promotions and focused fundraising activities with various related organizations to spread the culture of sharing and encourage donations.


Mayor Kim Gwang-yeol urged, “I hope everyone actively participates in spreading the culture of donation and sharing to build a happy local community living together with neighbors in need.”
