Presiding over the National Affairs Ministers' Meeting on the 5th
"Response to Stabilize Financial and Foreign Exchange Markets"

Prime Minister Han Duck-soo stated on the 5th, "Even in a nationally severe situation, it is the cabinet's duty to manage state affairs stably to ensure the stability of people's livelihoods."

Korean Prime Minister: "Cabinet's Duty is National Governance for Livelihood Stability" Prime Minister Han Duck-soo is speaking at the Ministerial Meeting on State Affairs held at the Government Seoul Office in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 5th.

On the same day, at the Government Seoul Office, during the meeting of ministers related to current state affairs, Prime Minister Han said, "I hope all public officials, including the cabinet, will carry out their duties without wavering."

He also requested, "We must continuously operate the response system to stabilize the financial and foreign exchange markets and respond swiftly," adding, "Please also ensure thorough measures for maintaining public order and preparing for various disasters."

This was Prime Minister Han's first time presiding over an official meeting since the emergency martial law situation. Given the strong aftershocks such as concerns about the economy and financial markets and calls for the cabinet's resignation, it appears that the meeting emphasized stabilizing state affairs and responding to market stabilization.
