Simmons announced on the 5th that it received the Gyeonggi Province Governor's Commendation at the '2024 Sharing Culture Expansion Merit Awards' in recognition of its contribution to spreading the culture of sharing.
The Sharing Culture Expansion Merit Award is given annually by Gyeonggi Province to individuals, institutions, and organizations that have contributed to revitalizing the culture of sharing and donation. This year, 14 civilians and 24 institutions and organizations were awarded.

At the award ceremony held on the morning of the 3rd at Icheon City Hall, Mayor Kim Kyung-hee of Icheon said, "On behalf of the Governor of Gyeonggi Province, I deeply thank Simmons for their unwavering dedication to loving neighbors and developing the local community," adding, "Thanks to Simmons' efforts for the region, our city of Icheon is becoming an even better place to live."
Lee Jong-sung, Vice President of Simmons, responded, "Under the management philosophy of 'business activities that benefit the world,' Simmons is making efforts in various ways to create a 'sustainable virtuous cycle.' We will continue to carry out diverse ESG activities as a reliable partner to coexist and cooperate with the local community."
Simmons Bed was selected as an award-winning institution this year in high recognition of its contribution to spreading the culture of sharing through continuous donation activities and improving the welfare of the Icheon local community.
Based in Icheon City, Gyeonggi Province, where the 'Simmons Factorium'?equipped with its own production system and sleep research R&D center?and the complex cultural space 'Simmons Terrace' are located, Simmons has been advancing its ESG initiatives.
Since Chuseok in 2018, Simmons has supported the local community with over 500 million KRW worth of daily necessities in a total of 13 installments every holiday. In addition, it continuously communicates with the local community through ▲ operating internship programs to encourage employment for migrant families in the Icheon area ▲ donating books, clothing, and other items to local children's centers and YMCA ▲ conducting regular plogging activities with village residents.
Last August, Simmons practiced neighborly love by donating mattresses worth 100 million KRW to places in need within the Icheon community, such as senior centers and village halls.
