Free Screening Event on the 10th at 2 PM
Taekwang Group's art cinema Cinecube announced on the 5th that it will screen the barrier-free version of the film 'Living: Some Life'.
The barrier-free version of 'Living: Some Life' adds audio descriptions and subtitles to the original work so that people with visual and hearing impairments can also enjoy the film. Directed by Yoon Dan-bi, with actor Park Hyo-joo providing the narration voice.
Cinecube will hold a screening on the 10th at 2 PM in Cinecube Theater 1 at the Gwanghwamun Heungkuk Life Building. Admission is free on a first-come, first-served basis without separate reservations. Tickets will be distributed in the Cinecube lobby from one hour before the screening, up to 4 tickets per person. After the film, a cine-talk will be held where director Yoon and the audience discuss the movie.
On the day of the screening, a 'Disability Understanding Village Connection Campaign' booth will also be operated in the Cinecube lobby. Jongno Disabled Welfare Center has prepared various experiential programs to help understand barrier-free films and people with disabilities. Participants in the experience will receive a photo ticket of the screening film.
The film 'Living: Some Life' depicts the protagonist Williams discovering the brilliance of life as he breaks away from the repetitive and dull routine of commuting between home and work every day.
A Cinecube official said, "Screening barrier-free films is a task to break down the walls between people with disabilities and movies," adding, "Cinecube will continue to strive so that anyone, regardless of disability, can feel the emotion of art films."
