‘Neulpureun’ Donates 10 Million Won Scholarship to Busan National University College of Social Sciences

Led by Alumni of the Graduate School of Public Administration... Over 200 People Have Supported About 150 Million Won Since 2011

Busan National University (President Choi Jae-won) announced on the 4th that the nonprofit corporation Neulpureun donated 10 million KRW in development funds to the university headquarters.

Neulpureun originated from the 'Neulpureun Scholarship Association,' established mainly by graduates of Busan National University's Graduate School of Public Administration (Director Kim Ho-jung in office) and the 45th to 47th cohorts of the Executive Management Program, and transitioned into a nonprofit corporation in 2014.

So far, in addition to Busan National University's scholarship projects, Neulpureun has supported scholarships for North Korean defectors and multicultural families (100 million KRW), overseas scholarships and medical volunteer activities in the Philippines (about 50 million KRW), and has carried out various domestic and international scholarship projects and volunteer activities annually. Since the first support in 2011, it has awarded scholarships totaling approximately 150 million KRW, including the 10 million KRW donated this time, to about 200 Busan National University students over 14 years.

The 10 million KRW development fund donated this day is planned to be used as scholarships for students of the College of Social Sciences at Busan National University.

Including this donation, we will continue various activities that expand educational opportunities and contribute to the local and international communities.”
