Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk, held a fundraising event for the ‘Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign’ at Yeongyang Market on December 4th to establish and promote a culture of sharing.
Under the slogan “Make myself valuable through donation, make Yeongyang valuable through donation!”, the campaign was attended by Lee In-hyung, head of the Yeongyang-gun Community Chest Sharing Volunteer Group, its members, and the Yeongyang-gun Community Social Security Council. They conducted a street campaign and fundraising, preparing warm drinks and fish cakes for the residents, attaching the Community Chest ribbons, and actively promoting sharing activities starting with small donations.
On the same day, activities to identify welfare blind spots were also carried out to find and assist neighbors in need.
Governor Oh Do-chang said, “I ask for the active participation and interest of the residents in the sharing campaign so that through donations we can raise our own value and bring hope and happiness to our neighbors. We will do our best to convey warm hearts to neighbors who may be going through more difficult times during the year-end and New Year holidays.”
The fundraising for the ‘Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign’ will continue until the end of January next year, and residents who wish to donate can participate by visiting the Eup/Myeon offices or the Resident Welfare Division of the county office.
