The Public Sewer Operation Management Performance Evaluation, led by the Ministry of Environment, assesses factors such as the efficiency of public sewer management delegation, sewer safety management response capability, and reuse rate of treated sewage water. Guri City received excellent evaluations in discharge water quality, management delegation efficiency, and odor control.

Additionally, in the Hangang Watershed Fund Project Performance Evaluation conducted by the Hangang Watershed Environment Office, Guri City was recognized as an outstanding institution for the transparent execution of project funds received for the installation and operation costs of public sewage treatment facilities and for the high effectiveness of the projects.

According to Guri City, through the sewage reuse project, the quality of treated sewage discharge is maintained at levels significantly lower than the legal discharge water quality standards set by the Sewerage Act, contributing to the improvement of water quality in the Hangang River's water source. Furthermore, the treated sewage discharge water is supplied to various public office building restrooms and used for landscaping irrigation, as well as utilized for urban streams and road cleaning water, establishing an effective water circulation system.

Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri City stated, “This selection as an outstanding institution acknowledges that we have secured the stability of metropolitan water sources by establishing a systematic operation system and thoroughly managing on-site operations to improve discharge water quality.” He added, “We will expand the reuse of treated sewage water to actively respond to fine dust reduction and heat waves, thereby realizing sustainable urban development.”
