Donation of Briquettes and 15.5 Million Won Worth of White Rice
"Always Together with the Local Community"

Employees of Korea Zinc participated in a briquette-sharing volunteer activity for vulnerable groups affected by the cold wave, in collaboration with the Seoul branch of the Korean Red Cross.

On the 4th, Korea Zinc announced that as part of the "2024 Warm Winter with Korea Zinc" project, they conducted a love briquette-sharing volunteer activity on the 3rd in the Sanggye 3 and 4-dong areas of Nowon-gu, Seoul. About 50 people, including employees of Korea Zinc and its affiliate (Seorin Information Technology) as well as Red Cross volunteers, participated in the event.

Korea Zinc has been carrying out this beautiful journey of sharing love with neighbors in need together with the Red Cross for 16 years this year.

On this day, Korea Zinc held a donation ceremony to support the Korean Red Cross with goods worth approximately 15.5 million KRW to help vulnerable neighbors endure the winter season. Through this support, a total of 14,000 briquettes (200 briquettes per household) and 700 kg of white rice (10 kg per household) were delivered to 70 vulnerable households in Nowon-gu, Seoul.

Following this, the "Love Briquette Sharing" volunteer activity took place. Volunteers lined up in a row, passing briquettes from hand to hand, delivering 200 briquettes to each household.

A Korea Zinc official said, "We hope that the small sincerity we delivered today will keep our neighbors warm this winter," adding, "Korea Zinc will always be with the local community."

Park Jeong-in, head of the Northern Volunteer Center at the Seoul branch of the Korean Red Cross, said, "There are still many neighbors in need around us," and expressed gratitude, saying, "We are thankful to be able to deliver warmth to the elderly together with Korea Zinc."
