Pocheon-si Selected as Best Institution in Gyeonggi-do Regional Construction Industry Revitalization Evaluation

Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) was selected as the top institution in Group C in the 2024 Gyeonggi-do Regional Construction Industry Activation Promotion Performance Evaluation.

Gyeonggi-do evaluates the performance of 31 local governments and Gyeonggi-do issuing departments in the region on policies promoting the activation of the regional construction industry. This evaluation contributes to the development of the regional construction industry and rewards outstanding public officials to boost their morale and pride.

The evaluation focused on five areas and seven indicators, including ▲order and subcontract status ▲subcontract status ▲use of government-supplied materials ▲administrative sanctions on construction companies ▲performance in public bidding surveys.

Pocheon City received high marks and was selected as the top institution in Group C, which includes 10 cities and counties such as Anseong, Guri, and Uiwang, categorized by population size.

A Pocheon City official stated, “This selection as the top institution is the result of continuous efforts to foster the regional construction industry. We will continue to discover new policies through meetings with stakeholders and strive harder to activate the regional construction industry.”
