The "Seasonal Management Plan" is a system that enforces strengthened fine dust reduction measures from December, when high concentrations of fine dust frequently occur, to March of the following year. It has been in effect since 2019.

During the 6th Seasonal Management Plan period, Paju City will promote 14 detailed implementation tasks across five major areas: citizen health protection, industry, transportation, public sector, and fine dust information provision.

The main implementation tasks include ▲restriction on operation of Grade 5 emission vehicles ▲guidance and inspection of workplaces and construction sites ▲prevention of illegal burning of agricultural waste and residues ▲intensive crackdown on illegal burning ▲implementation of public sector two-day vehicle operation system, among others.

During the fine dust seasonal management period, operation restrictions and enforcement will be conducted on Grade 5 emission vehicles registered in 17 cities and provinces nationwide, targeting the Seoul metropolitan area and six major metropolitan cities (Busan, Daegu, Gwangju, Daejeon, Ulsan, Sejong). Enforcement hours are from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays, and violating vehicles will be fined 100,000 KRW per day.

Air quality information related to fine dust can be obtained through Air Korea or Gyeonggi Province's Air Environment Information Service. Additionally, fine dust information can be checked via electronic display boards at bus stops installed within the jurisdiction and fine dust traffic lights.

Jo Yoon-ok, Director of the Environmental Guidance Division, stated, "We will do our best to protect citizens' health by actively promoting reduction measures in each sector to reduce the occurrence of high-concentration fine dust." She added, "We ask for active participation and cooperation from citizens regarding the restriction on operation of Grade 5 vehicles and the prohibition of illegal burning."
