Seongbuk-gu Expands 'Good Price Businesses' to 58 to Revitalize Local Economy

25 New Sites Discovered This Year... Annual Incentive of 1 Million Won

Seongbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) has newly designated 25 Good Price Businesses this year, increasing the number of such businesses in the district to 58.

The Good Price Business program designates and supports businesses that provide quality services at affordable prices. It contributes to the stable operation of small business owners, price stabilization, and revitalization of the local economy, thereby invigorating the local commercial district. Seongbuk-gu is actively expanding the Good Price Business program to contribute to price stability and regional economic revitalization.

The Good Price Business designation is given to businesses in personal service sectors closely related to residents' daily lives, such as dining, beauty and hair salons, and laundry services, that meet certain standards in price, quality, and hygiene through on-site inspections and evaluations.

Once designated as a Good Price Business, an annual incentive of 1 million KRW and a Good Price Business badge are provided. The incentive can be used to purchase necessary supplies such as volume-based waste bags, food waste stickers, towels, and pest control services.

Mayor Lee Seung-ro stated, “Small business owners are facing many difficulties due to high inflation and weakened consumer sentiment. By designating Good Price Businesses and providing incentives, we expect to stabilize prices and revitalize the local economy.” He added, “We plan to actively support more stores to participate in the Good Price Business program in the future.”
