A total of 18 teams and 46 students participated in the competition to present their ideas, and 6 teams that passed the first document screening advanced to the second presentation evaluation. The judging criteria focused on creativity, feasibility, marketability, and potential for development.

At the awards ceremony held on the 29th at the on-campus Faculty Hall, 6 teams were selected as the final winners and awarded prizes worth a total of 5.5 million KRW.

The grand prize went to the student team led by Kim Sae-yoon (2nd year, AI Convergence Mechanical Department) for their submission ‘Recy Cup (separable take-out cup),’ receiving prizes worth 2 million KRW. The ‘Recy Cup’ was highly evaluated as an idea product that reduces environmental pollution by allowing the separation and disposal of the outer paper and inner coating film.

Kim Sae-yoon said, “I conceived this idea to solve the environmental pollution problem caused by paper cups frequently used in daily life,” and added, “I hope this product becomes widely known and contributes to environmental protection.”

Additionally, two teams received the Excellence Award (1 million KRW), including ‘Memoryum, a customized memorial archive service for pets that captures longing’ (Geum Sang-min, 2nd year, Broadcasting and Video Media Department), and three teams received the Merit Award (500,000 KRW), including the ‘ADAS software for automatic car consumable notifications’ (team led by Ryu Jae-hyung, 1st year, Semiconductor Electronics Department).

Do Han-shin, head of Yeungjin College Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, said, “Students are presenting more creative and feasible ideas year after year,” and added, “We will continue to provide active support to promote startup culture and strengthen students’ employment and startup capabilities.”

Yeungjin College plans to continue its efforts to create a startup ecosystem and nurture creative talents based on the ideas discovered through this competition.
