Korea Small and Medium Venture Business Distribution Agency Hosts Sharing and Sales Events for December Donghaeng Festival

Participation as the Main Organizer of the Donghaeng Festival

The Korea Small and Medium Business Distribution Center (KOSMED), under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, announced on the 29th that it will participate as the main organizer of the December Donghaeng Festival, held from the 1st to the 28th of next month.

To ensure the successful promotion of the Donghaeng Festival, KOSMED plans to hold various events during the December Donghaeng Festival period in collaboration with over 190 domestic and international private distribution platforms, including its own platforms such as Happy Department Store and Panpan Duty-Free Shop.

In the first week of December, the opening ceremony and special events (December 6-8) will be held at Seoul Hongdae Walkable Street (Red Road R1, R2), featuring various sales zones, events (purchase giveaways, busking performances, etc.), and an exhibition and experience hall for Donghaeng products.

In the second week, a charity bazaar, Donghaeng fashion show, and a live cooking show with Chef Jeong Ji-seon will be held at Mokdong Happy Department Store. In the third week, a Donghaeng product evaluation meeting will be conducted to select outstanding companies among 100 excellent products of December Donghaeng, along with charity donation events. After the fourth week, various weekly events such as the Donghaeng Awards, which summarize the 2024 Donghaeng Festival, will take place.

Additionally, during the Donghaeng Festival period, special discount exhibitions will be held in collaboration with about 30 private online platforms including Coupang, 11st, and Lotte ON, as well as offline exhibitions of small and medium enterprise products with large private distribution networks such as Shinsegae Department Store (Gwangju) from December 23 to 28.

Furthermore, promotional and event activities will be showcased using KOSMED’s distribution platforms, including discount sales (20-30%, December 1-28) of small and medium enterprise products at Panpan Duty-Free Shop (Incheon Airport) and Panpan Shop (Mokdong Happy Department Store, Hyundai Department Store Pangyo Branch), as well as special discounts in the Dongbanseongjang Mall (win-win welfare platform) exhibition.
