DRB Co., Ltd. was selected as a ‘Recognized Company for Community Contribution’ at the 2024 ‘Community Contribution Recognition Day’ event held on the 27th.
The Community Contribution Recognition System is jointly organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea National Council on Social Welfare. It is a system that conducts an in-depth evaluation of corporate social contribution achievements and certifies the level of contribution to coexistence with the local community and sustainable development.
DRB has pursued mutual growth with the local community and carried out various social contribution activities. In particular, based on the DRB social contribution platform Campus D, it opens various concept shared spaces free of charge to support creative and educational activities for all citizens.
Additionally, it provides office spaces free of charge to resident companies such as youth startups, social enterprises, non-profit organizations, and cultural and artistic groups to support their growth, thereby creating a platform for nurturing local talent. It has also been consistently practicing corporate sharing for socially marginalized groups such as protected children and elderly living alone, leading to its selection as a recognized company under the Community Contribution Recognition System.
Ryu Young-sik, CEO of DRB Dongil, said, “Being selected as a recognized company for community contribution is the result of our continuous efforts to grow together with the local community,” adding, “We will further strengthen cooperation with the community and take the lead in creating a sustainable society.”
DRB is an innovative company based on traditional manufacturing that has led the domestic industrial rubber industry by successfully domesticating rubber belts for the first time in Korea. Through continuous change and innovation, it is expanding its business areas into future advanced industries such as automotive parts, robotics and automation, civil engineering and construction materials, seismic isolation and damping, and healthcare.
Furthermore, based on a healthy corporate culture, DRB pursues comprehensive change and innovation, strengthens sustainable growth through ESG, and secures digital initiatives by enhancing the company’s digital capabilities.
