Cheonan City, Chungnam Province, announced on the 25th that it will conduct an online vote for the selection of this year's top 10 news stories until December 6.
The online vote allows participants to select up to five out of 33 major policies on the city's official website and other platforms.
The major policies include establishing a foundation for culture and arts, driving future growth, improving transportation convenience, providing opportunities for rest and leisure, and protecting the socially vulnerable.
The city plans to announce the top 10 news stories of Cheonan, as selected by citizens, on December 9.
A city official said, "Since the top 10 news stories are selected 100% by citizen votes, we hope this will help build a broad consensus on municipal administration and serve as an opportunity to enhance the pride of Cheonan citizens."
