LG Display held its 2025 regular executive appointments on the 21st, following approval from the board of directors, appointing Choi Hyun-cheol, Executive Vice President and Head of the SC Business Division, and Song Sang-ho, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHO), as Vice Presidents.
The scale of LG Display's personnel appointments includes 2 promotions to Vice President, 1 promotion to Executive Vice President, and 7 new appointments to Senior Manager. LG Display explained that in this executive appointment, they prioritized talents who have greatly contributed to strengthening the fundamental competitiveness of the business and demonstrated outstanding performance.
Vice President Choi was recognized for enhancing the core capabilities of the small and medium-sized OLED business and contributing to improved business performance. Born in 1967, Vice President Choi holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from KAIST and joined LG Display in 1999.
Senior Manager Kim Heung-soo (Head of SC PANEL CENTER) was promoted to Executive Vice President for his contributions to innovation in small and medium-sized OLED production and productivity improvement.
Senior Managers newly appointed include Kim Jin-sung, who led technological competitiveness enhancement through algorithm development improving afterimage in large OLEDs and reducing power consumption in small and medium OLEDs; and Kim Hong-soo, who contributed to strengthening the business portfolio through timely development of medium-sized OLED products, among a total of 7 new Senior Managers.
This regular executive appointment will take effect on January 1 of next year.
