Financial Supervisory Service and Financial Sector Donate Briquettes and Heating Oil to Neighbors in Need

On the 21st, the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) announced that it, along with the financial sector, visited Ant Village in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, to deliver 4,000 briquettes to elderly living alone and low-income households.


On the same day, the FSS conducted the "Sharing the Warmth of Love" campaign together with the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency, Credit Counseling & Recovery Service, Korea Federation of Banks, Life Insurance Association, General Insurance Association, Korea Federation of Savings Banks, Korea Credit Finance Association, KOSDAQ Association, KakaoBank, and K Bank.


The FSS and participating financial institutions jointly raised sponsorship funds to help vulnerable neighbors stay warm during the upcoming winter, donating 125,200 briquettes and 14,000 liters of heating oil to the Briquette Bank, of which 4,000 briquettes and 160 liters of heating oil were personally delivered to elderly living alone and low-income households by Vice Chairman Kim Byung-chil and other attendees.


Vice Chairman Kim, who participated in the briquette sharing activity, said, "I hope that efforts for coexistence with neighbors will spread further throughout the local community, and the FSS will continue sharing activities together with the financial sector.”
