At the meeting, a total of 10 members, including Hong Ji-seon, Deputy Mayor of Namyangju City, received reports on this year's major achievements and the 2025 action plan. They also discussed and gathered opinions on the 2025 social economy regional revitalization project plan (draft).
The committee consists of 15 members, including two ex officio members such as Deputy Mayor Hong Ji-seon, city council member Han Song-yeon, social economy field activists, and experts related to the social economy. They will be active for two years from the 20th until November 19, 2026.
Deputy Mayor Hong said, "The social economy greatly contributes to creating jobs for vulnerable groups, efficiently utilizing local resources to generate environmental value, and spreading a culture of coexistence. I ask the committee members for their active interest so that social economy enterprises can lead the spread of social values and become a key pillar driving the local economy."
The city plans to systematically promote nurturing measures to discover citizen-participatory social economy enterprises that realize public value and strengthen institutional support, thereby contributing to sustainable job creation and solving social problems.
