At the meeting, Chairman Lim Jong-hoon and Councilor Kim Hyun-gyu attended, and they received reports on a total of 15 major issues from the heads of 12 departments, including the Permit Division, and engaged in a Q&A session focusing on ways to cooperate.
The main topics included the Senior National Sports Center construction project, the expansion of support for national veterans in 2025, the announcement of selection for the 2025 New Renewable Energy Convergence Support Project, the amendment of the "Pocheon City Urban Regeneration Activation and Support Ordinance," and the 2025 Culture Month event contest.
In particular, regarding the 2025 New Renewable Energy Convergence Support Project, the importance of the environment was emphasized, and with the increase in electricity consumption, measures were requested to expand installation in public facilities to ensure convenience for citizens.
Additionally, the council focused on reviewing materials by requesting supplements for incomplete parts of the reports and urged that projects closely related to citizens' lives must be carried out from the citizens' perspective by collecting their opinions, rather than from the administrative convenience viewpoint of the executive branch.
Chairman Lim Jong-hoon stated, “With about a month left in 2024, I thank the executive branch for their efforts to ensure the success of our city's major projects. I hope you will continue to work hard for the safety and happiness of our citizens and regional development. Our council will also devote itself more to legislative activities for regional development and citizens' happiness.”
