American Billionaire Brian Johnson
"Side Effects of Facial Fat Grafting"
"Replanning for the Next Attempt"
Brian Johnson (47), an American billionaire who has invested astronomical amounts of money in a rejuvenation project, recently revealed that he experienced severe side effects after attempting a facial fat graft.
On the 14th, Brian Johnson posted a photo of his swollen face on his social media. Johnson, who has been practicing a "calorie restriction diet" as part of his longevity and youth project, stated, "I reduced my daily calorie intake from 2,500 kcal to 1,950 kcal. As a result, I lost a lot of weight, especially facial fat."
He explained, "Although my biological markers improved, I looked gaunt to the point that people thought I was on the verge of death," and added, "After investigating with my team, we realized that facial fat is very important for people to perceive youth." He then said, "I started the 'Baby Face' project to restore the lost volume in my face."
The 'Baby Face' project Johnson attempted involved autologous fat grafting, where fat cells are extracted from body parts such as the thighs and abdomen and injected into the face. Johnson added that since there was not enough body fat to extract due to his controlled diet, donor fat was used.
However, he revealed that he experienced unexpected side effects from this procedure. Johnson explained, "My face started swelling immediately after the injection," and "The situation worsened to the point where my eyes were swollen shut. It was a severe allergic reaction." He also said that his face was so swollen that he canceled all his appointments that day.
Johnson said, "After a week, my face returned to normal," and "I am currently planning the next attempt."
Johnson became a billionaire after selling his software company, Braintree, to eBay for $800 million (1.1142 trillion KRW), and it is known that he spends $2 million (about 2.8 billion KRW) annually on his so-called rejuvenation project. This project includes advanced medical technology, strict dietary control, stress management, and consistent exercise, aiming to reduce his biological age to 18 years.
Last year, as part of the project, he attracted attention by conducting blood exchange experiments across three generations?his teenage son, his 70-year-old father, and himself. Additionally, he reportedly tries various methods such as taking 100 supplements daily and consuming 70 pounds (31.75 kg) of vegetable puree per month. Through this project, the 47-year-old claims to have a heart aged 37, skin aged 28, and physical strength aged 18.
