Home Repair Support Worth 34 Million Won Provided to Six Households This Year
The first "Saekkumteo" in Cheonan, Chungnam, a housing project for vulnerable groups, opened its doors on the 18th.
At the move-in ceremony held in the Pungse-myeon area of Dongnam-gu, over 100 people attended, including Cheonan Mayor Park Sangdon, officials from related organizations, and local residents.
The city is promoting the Saekkumteo project as part of its efforts to improve housing conditions for those in the blind spots of housing welfare. This year, up to six households will receive home repair support worth up to 34 million won each.
For the first Saekkumteo house, located in a single-family home in Pungse-myeon, the city renovated the traditional restroom and replaced wallpaper and flooring.
Mayor Park said, "We will support vulnerable groups such as the elderly, children, and people with disabilities, who have difficulty relocating, to improve their living environments so they can reside in a comfortable setting," adding, "We will do our best to enhance community welfare and realize social value."
