Gwangju City Toechon Youth Culture House Operates Weekend Art and Culture Exploration Experience

37 Elementary Students Participate in Youth After-School Academy

Gwangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Bang Se-hwan) announced on the 18th that on the 16th, it operated an arts and culture exploration weekend experience for 37 elementary school students at the Toechon Youth Culture House After-School Academy.

This activity took place at the Young Eun Museum of Art and provided a meaningful opportunity for the youth to understand arts and culture and to develop artistic sensitivity.


The experience was conducted in the order of △ viewing works in four exhibition halls △ making a monoprint frame and print bag △ touring the outdoor sculpture park, and as a follow-up activity, various opinions about the weekend experience will be exchanged through speech and art classes during the after-school academy hours.


A representative of the Toechon Youth Culture House said, “We hope this arts and culture experience served as an opportunity for the youth to discover artistic sensibility and creativity, and we will support the holistic growth of the youth.”


Meanwhile, the Toechon Youth Culture House After-School Academy is operated with support from Gwangju City and the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, continuously providing programs such as learning support and cultural and artistic experiences for students in grades 4 to 6 of elementary school.
