At the time, he also posted a photo of himself on the bike. He wrote, "Today is the CSAT day. Sending fighting (good luck) to all exam takers," and added, "You will soon become adults. There are many questions and answers on the test, but congratulations on entering a society where there are no wrong answers." He encouraged them with the hashtag "Because you are the answer."
Later, he mentioned this story during an appearance on a variety show. Song Jaerim said, "I volunteered on the CSAT day for just one day," and added, "Actually, I didn’t give a ride to anyone. No one was late for the exam, and the roads were well controlled. That was the right and ideal situation. The article was too nicely packaged."
Netizens who came across this story expressed their condolences, saying things like, "I didn’t know he was such a considerate actor," and "It’s so sad to learn about this story only now."
Meanwhile, Song Jaerim was found dead at his home in Seongdong-gu around 12:30 p.m. the previous day. A friend who had a lunch appointment with him discovered him at the scene and reported it to the police. According to the police investigation, there was no evidence of homicide or other criminal activity, and a suicide note was found at the scene.
