The People Power Party will hold an emergency countermeasure meeting ahead of the first trial sentencing hearing of Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party, scheduled for the 12th.
Through this meeting, the People Power Party is expected to condemn the Democratic Party's operation of a 'shielded National Assembly' and repeatedly urge the court to broadcast the first trial verdict live.
The meeting will be attended by Representative Han Dong-hoon, Floor Leader Chu Kyung-ho, Policy Committee Chair Kim Sang-hoon, Secretary General Seo Beom-su, and members of the party belonging to the National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee.
The first trial sentencing for Lee's charges of violating the Public Official Election Act will take place on the 15th, and the first trial sentencing related to the charge of witness tampering will be held on the 25th.
