Emart announced on the 6th that it will offer discounts on snacks and cold-weather items for students taking the 2025 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT).

First, until the 14th, Emart will hold a 'CSAT & Pepero Day' special event, offering over 200 types of snacks such as chocolates and chocolate stick snacks, which are great gifts for test-takers, at prices up to 50% off the regular price. Additionally, customers who purchase more than 25,000 KRW worth of snack event products will receive a 5,000 KRW Shinsegae gift certificate.

For this event, Emart analyzed the frequently purchased items by customers in their teens to twenties, the average age group of CSAT test-takers, and selected popular brand products for the promotion. Since chocolate stick snacks ranked first in sales among all snacks during last year’s Pepero Day and CSAT period, Emart expects high demand for these products again this year.

Accordingly, Emart prepared the 'Lotte NewJeans Pepero Special 5-Pack (8 pieces for 11,520 KRW, 10 pieces for 14,400 KRW)'. This Pepero product adds collectible value by featuring the popular girl group NewJeans, which is well-liked by teenagers. The 'Lotte Pepero 4-Pack (Choco, Almond, White Cookie, Crunky)' will be sold at a 20% discount for full payment with event cards, priced at 3,824 KRW.

For another chocolate snack, the 'Nestl? KitKat Mini Original (405g, 9g×45 pieces, 15,980 KRW)' is offered with a buy-one-get-one-free deal. In addition, Emart prepared other gift-worthy items for test-takers such as ▲Orion Success Wish BichoB (125g, 2,380 KRW) ▲Orion Success Wish Cham Bungeoppang (232g, 3,980 KRW) ▲Lotte Hershey’s Kisses Pencil Case (208g, 7,980 KRW) ▲Giant Bar Pop-up Case (390g, 12,160 KRW) ▲Nongshim Lindt Lindor Heart (96g, 9,880 KRW).

Kim Hyosu, Emart’s snack buyer, said, "Since customers tend to purchase snacks in bulk for the CSAT exam day and Pepero Day, we planned a gift certificate giveaway event. We also increased the number of event items by about 30% compared to last year so that more people can enjoy the benefits."

Cold-weather items to keep warm during the CSAT cold snap are also discounted. First, all Thermos brand vacuum flasks, lunch boxes, and tumblers are sold at up to 30% off. Representative products include the 'Carry Loop Tumbler,' which keeps drinks warm for up to 6 hours, and the 'Integrated Large-capacity Lunch Box.' Among hot pack products, all items are up to 30% off, including the 'Olden Charcoal Fire Hot Pack (Extra Large),' which maintains up to 70 degrees Celsius for up to 16 hours. The 'The Life High-weight Mini Flannel Blanket 4-Pack (Navy, Gray, Blue, Pink),' which is portable and warm, is sold for 13,900 KRW.

Meanwhile, Emart is holding its third frequency event of the year following the one in June. From the 8th of this month until December 19th, customers will receive one stamp for every purchase over 70,000 KRW, and those who collect six stamps will receive a gift on a first-come, first-served basis for 10,000 people. The gift is the 'HC Happycall Edge IH Frying Pan & Odd Adam Induction Set (with an additional frying pan lid included).'

Customers holding an Emart e-Card will receive additional benefits. During the frequency event period, when stamps are collected using the Emart e-Card, customers can receive Starbucks gift certificates worth ▲5,000 KRW for 2 stamps ▲10,000 KRW for 4 stamps ▲30,000 KRW for 6 stamps.
