Gwangjin-gu Hosts Photo Exhibition of Alley Merchants Along Achasan Hiking Trails

Held from October 31 to November 1 at Achasan Hiking Trail Shops

Over 20 Shops Participate, Exhibiting Owners' Faces and Life Stories

Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) will hold the ‘Achasan Hiking Trail Alley Merchants Communication Photo Exhibition’ from October 31 to November 1 to revitalize the alley commercial district around the Achasan hiking trail.

The Achasan Hiking Trail Merchants Association is a small-scale alley commercial district newly registered in May, with 20 members.

Gwangjin-gu, Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation, and the Merchants Association are collaborating to revitalize the commercial district through the installation of high-brightness lighting, creation of commercial district maps, consulting, and support for facility improvements.

This photo exhibition displays the merchants’ appearances and their life stories captured in a single photo. Along with a short text expressing their thoughts while running their stores, photos of the owners are hung by each store.

The location spans around Cheonho-daero 128-gil and Jayang-ro 45-gil, crossing Junggok-dong and Guui-dong. The photo exhibition can be viewed at individual stores and at Push Coffee Achasan (Jayang-ro 45-gil 24-3). Inside the cafe, a pop-up store is set up featuring products made with tea bags and promotional brochures to provide enjoyable experiences. There will also be tea discount events and giveaways of promotional items for the public delivery app ‘Ttaenggyeoyo’. Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “Achasan is a place frequently visited by hikers and local residents, lined with hidden restaurants. We hope this photo exhibition will widely promote the Achasan hiking trail commercial district,” and added, “We will continue to devote all our efforts to discovering and supporting policies that provide practical help to small business owners.”
