The keynote speech was delivered by Kim Young-mi, former Vice Chairperson of the Presidential Committee on Ageing Society and Population Policy, on the topic “The Importance and Challenges of ESG in the Era of Population Transformation.”


A special session titled “Leading the Path to Population Recovery: The Role of Local Governments, Companies, and Universities for Youth Settlement” featured a presentation by Kim Min-ji, Vice Chairperson of the Korea Startup Forum Southeastern Region Council. The session was chaired by Oh Jae-hwan, Vice President of the Busan Research Institute, with panelists including Professor Cho Yong-eon of Dong-A University, Kim Gwi-ok, Director of Youth Industry-Academia Division at Busan City, and Lee Min-geol, CEO of Panasia.


Following this, sessions were held on the themes of “Nature Positive,” “Climate Tech and Carbon Market,” and “Sustainable Local Communities & Regional Innovation Platforms.”


The ‘Business Round Table’ included Kim Dong-soo, Director of Kim & Chang ESG Management Research Institute; Lee Jae-hyuk, Director of Korea University ESG Research Institute; Yoon Cheol-min, Head of ESG Management at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Jung Young-doo, Head of ESG Management at Korea Ocean Business Corporation; and Kim Kwang-soo, ESG Team Leader at SeAH Besteel Holdings.


Kang Se-ho, Chairman of the Dong-A Business Forum, said, “I hope this forum serves as an opportunity to raise awareness of ESG management and that participating companies will have the chance to grow into global enterprises through ESG management.
