CJ CheilJedang Achieves Highest Grade in Employment and Safety Management Evaluation for 'Jincheon BC' by Ministry of Employment and Labor

PSM is a system that strengthens the supervision of workplaces with facilities that manufacture, handle, or store hazardous and dangerous substances to prevent major industrial accidents. The Ministry of Employment and Labor conducts a strict evaluation every four years and assigns grades. The evaluation grades are given as one of P (Excellent), S (Good), M+ (Average), or M- (Poor). The P grade received by Jincheon BC is awarded to only about the top 5% of approximately 2,000 workplaces nationwide.

In this evaluation, Jincheon BC was recognized for having the highest level of safety management system in the food industry. In particular, it received high scores in the categories of 'Safety Management and Worker Participation' and 'On-site Inspection.' Jincheon BC has secured professional personnel with a high level of safety culture and awareness by conducting various trainings for workers, including safety and health campaigns, fire drills, confined space training, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Additionally, it established and adhered to strict safety standards on-site, such as equipment management, maintenance, and workplace organization, earning excellent evaluations in management aspects as well.

Kang Nam-cheol, Plant Manager of CJ CheilJedang Jincheon BC, stated, "Thanks to the efforts of all employees at Jincheon BC and CJ CheilJedang for safety management, we were able to achieve the highest grade." He added, "We will continue to do our best to create an 'OnlyOne Safety-First Culture.'"
