'10th Nowon-gu Lifelong Learning Festival' Held at Junggye Neighborhood Park on November 2, 11 AM?5 PM
Various Programs Including Performances, Promotion, Experience, and Exhibition Booths Available
Nowon-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Oh Seung-rok) announced that it will hold the "10th Nowon-gu Lifelong Learning Festival" at Junggye Neighborhood Park on November 2.
The festival is organized to bring together lifelong education institutions, universities, and related organizations and groups in the area to share and encourage the achievements of lifelong learning and to create a festive occasion to share with residents.
Through the lifelong learning festival, the district plans to share with residents the achievements of lifelong learning students who have diligently engaged in learning at various lifelong education institutions in the region under the theme "Learning Together, Joy for Life."
The event is mainly divided into ▲ Lifelong Learning Expo ▲ Harmony Concert ▲ Special Performances.
First, the Lifelong Learning Expo will feature 27 institutions including local universities, lifelong education centers, neighborhood learning centers, and community centers, operating a total of 46 booths for promoting excellent programs, experiences, exhibitions, and consultations. Various experiences such as making everyday ceramics, traditional Korean archery (Gukgung) experience, calligraphy, and tarot psychological counseling are also prepared.
The Harmony Concert will showcase performances by lifelong education institution students. Eight institutions and 12 teams will participate, demonstrating their honed skills through belly dance, ukulele, classical guitar performances, and more.
Special performances include vocal music (soprano Lee Jin-hee & tenor Min Hyun-gi), dance (Lastreet Crew), and ballet (Dance Theater Shahar Ballet Company & Ballet Trot Jeong Min-chan) performances.
The opening ceremony of the lifelong learning festival will begin at 11 a.m. with congratulatory performances by the Yeye Choir and Yeye Dance Troupe and the Army Military Academy Band. Additionally, the district will award lifelong learning promotion commendations to a total of 13 outstanding groups and individuals who have contributed significantly to the promotion of lifelong learning. The event will continue until 5 p.m. and is open to everyone.
District Mayor Oh Seung-rok said, “I hope the lifelong learning festival will serve as an opportunity to motivate residents toward lifelong learning,” and added, “We will continue to foster a culture of learning and sharing together through lifelong learning.”
